Thank you very much for your interest in the either the Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT SP/SR) Online Program or the CBT Self-Practice/Self-Reflection (CBT SP/SR) Online Program - or both. This is the first time either of these will be offered in online format in Australia. We are very much looking forward to starting with the first cohorts in late January or early February.
Tara Hickey, a clinical psychologist/researcher trained by Paul Gilbert in CFT, and I will be the program facilitators for the Compassion Focused Therapy program. We have not yet finalised co-facilitation for the CBT program.
The core texts for the programs will be Experiencing Compassion Focused Therapy from the Inside Out: A Self-Practice/Self-Reflection Workbook for Therapists (Kolts, Bell, Bennett-Levy & Irons, 2018), and Experiencing CBT from the Inside Out: A Self-Practice/Self-Reflection Workbook for Therapists (Bennett-Levy, Thwaites, Haarhoff & Perry, 2015). These books were very much written for this purpose - so that practitioners have an experience of these therapies from the Inside Out. There is now a considerable evidence base that SP/SR is a great way to deepen understanding and enhance therapy skills.
You may, or may not, have completed a general expression of interest in SP/SR programs previously. We are now asking more specific questions. So if you are still interested in either the CBT or CFT SP/SR program which we anticipate being 8 sessions, please complete this form, which will only take 10 mins.
We are also looking to evaluate the program, and will be offering a discount for people who elect to participate in this research. If you would like to be considered for the research discount, please tick that box below.
